Hi everyone,

I'm new to double straights and am struggling a bit with the shape (see video attached) as I'm not hitting the slight arch shape that is typical of the skill. I train mostly in adult open gyms these days after getting back into the sport for fun and fitness, but the double straight was never a skill I trained before, so I don't have the muscle memory for it. Does anyone have any tips or drills they can recommend to improve this?

Thank you!

its pretty clean, maybe ask ur coach for specific drills.

Thanks! The dish shape is so engrained in me from single somersaults that I find the arch less natural, but I guess it's just a matter of repetition until it gets easier. Thanks:)
Also, I feel like I still have a tendency to try and grab my legs like I would in a double tuck or pike, so I'm not fully utilising my arms to help me maintain the arch position by pressing them backwards enough, if that makes sense. Will work on that too!
