Making it to National is huge! Any placement or success is just a bonus. That's how we looked at it, and although DD didn't have her best meet, she did well and is proud of herself, and her coach proud of her. Your DD should be too. And making it to Nationals at 10 is awesome!

Wow thank you SO SO SOO much for all the replies. I never thought I would feel so supported by strangers on a blog, but I am so thankful I joined this site. Thank you all so much for all the kind words! We ran into the judge who judged her bars at the hotel breakfast this morning and she came up to her and said "I've never seen a kid peel of the bars quite that far!" I wish I could thank her for that because she's been laughing about it all day and is feeling a lot better. Thank you all again it makes me so happy too see so many supportive gym mamas!

Ten is probably too young to fully comprehend how unusual it is to be at Nationals in the first place! LOL
