I suggested we do this at the last gym my daughter and I worked out at/worked at (when we were moving to a new building and getting new pits) and was shot down so fast. I would love to hear of gyms that take this seriously.

The first gym I worked at actually did a whole study on this! We had our hands swabbed and then tested after our shifts. They switched over

I was surprised none of our previous gym owners/coaches cared. Us former gymnasts/now coaches are obviously most affected! Did your gym ask to be a part of the study?

That is scary! Should I ask my gym as a gymnast about this?
I would want to know if they are on top of this. It should be their responsibility. When this new first came out they advised all coaches that gymnasts should not be allowed to "clean pits." I have seen no change in this practice where I live, which is disappointing.
