that's for sure. if it's at Worlds it'll be at the ranch to change out.

of course some of us grey hairs know. the first spring floors had 1 inch tall springs. and that was in the early to mid 80's.

after Seoul 1988 we went to 4 inch tall springs. and now most floors have 2 inch foam tops.

Oy! I know those springs well. Kills my hands when we put the floor together for State meets.

it's a 40 by 40 air mat with a pressure regulator. that's it. now can you imagine that with a 2 inch top and carpet or 2 inch carpet bonded foam? no more injuries. landing short becomes a punch front with no pain. oh...the thought...

they compete on what ever floors are there. But all floors must be approved by FIG.
