I fractured my ankle while competing floor 3 weeks ago :( I've been out since then and my dr said it could take 4-6 weeks to heal, then physical therapy :( He said it's a hairline fracture and should take closer to 4 weeks to heal. Hopefully he's right and I'll be able to at least compete as an event specialist at states (I qualified for AA).

good luck! my son fractured his ankle right before states; but we didn't know it was fractured. oops. Anyway, he was in a boot for just under 3 weeks and then had 1.5 extra weeks of no tumbling and he is in a brace for the next month. The doctor was really happy with how quickly it healed and he managed (somehow - no clue) to not lose much flexibility or strength in the foot, so he didn't have to do physical therapy.

thank you :) states isn't until June 1st or 2nd so hopefully even with physical therapy I'll be healed or close to it.

DD just chipped her ankle and is in a walking cast for 4 weeks, but she's little and not even old enough for anything big like states!

Just don't push yourself too hard too fast! And good luck!

Thank you :) I'm in a walking cast as well.
