Usually it’s the other way around, but my gymnast’s front leg is significantly lower than her back leg in her split jumps and leaps. Her split jumps almost look like a Sissone!

Her back leg is at 180 or higher at times and her front leg is 120 or lower, so the judges can clearly see the deduction.

Any drills to work this specific issue? Thanks everyone!

Lots of stuff you can work on here. Just lifting the front leg as high as possible and holding it there is the first thing I would work on. Like the TOPs leg kick / hold test...

I would work on the second part of this video is the key... the holds. I'd try to hold much longer than the video... like 5+ seconds on each side.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
