Do you have a video you can share?

Generally, the technique for a front pike is "do a high front tuck but keep your legs straight instead of tucking." There's no real technique to it that's any different from a front tuck.

BUT

If you used to have it on floor and now can't do it on tumbletrak or trampoline, that suggests to me that there may be some underlying issue with the takeoff, and I'd want to see a video to give specific suggestions.

sorry I dont have any videos! But also it’s not that I can’t do it on a tumbletrak or tramp we just don’t use the those for front pikes at my gym.

Ok, then in general terms, the first thing is to focus on getting your front tuck high enough that you can open out of your tuck for the landing. If you just kind of tuck until you land, you don't have time for a pike.

If you get a chance to work 3/4 fronts on trampoline, those will help. Goal is vertical takeoff, watching the trampoline, and making the flip slow and floaty and leisurely.

But once you have the height.... *shrug* go for it and make sure you bend your knees before you land. Not much else to it.

Thanks so much, I’ll try this!
