Sounds like she's anticipating the turn and wants to help it by leaning on the outside edge of her foot. That's not gonna work because her weight lean that direction throughout the remainder of her turn.......

So figure a turn on the left foot with the arms sweeping from right to left and up. Her weight will be on the left edge of her foot and at a 1/4 turn she'll have to press her toes into the beam to control the lean. During that moment her foot will travel closer to the left edge of the beam. The adjustments used to control her shifting weight (still there from the start) weight shifting continues through the entire turn and each compensation moves the foot closer to the left edge until they spiral right of the beam.

Tell her to treat it like a floor turn and keep it simple with no new techniques added in because she's (yikes!!!) on a beam.
