Hi

Im a level 9 and having trouble learning a giant freehip connection on bars. I feel like i need to slow down the giant but I know your not suppose to so I need some tips and drills please.

You do kind of have to slow down, although you never stop your swing. Can you do a giant to front support (not a baby giant-- pass through the HS, break through shoulders, control swing down to front support)? Obviously you'll break more through your shoulders than you would in a clear hip, but it's a similar action. Once you're comfortable with the giant with a shoulder break, you can make it later and come down with a little more swing and do giant back hip circle. Eventually, you can drop harder and go into a clear hip. My bet is that you're having trouble controlling the shoulder break and drop into it.
 
Yes thats exactly my problem, I cant control the shoulder break drop. Thanks!
