My name is Kristin and I'm so excited to have come across this forum. I coached gymnastics at all levels (toddler through compulsory) for over 10yr. I "quit" (I still sub once in awhile) when my DD Malea (4yr) was born.
Malea started gymnastics at 2.5yr old. I recently switched gyms with her, because she was VERY bored in her standard preschool class and "my" gym simply didn't have anything to offer her and wasn't taking me seriously. She spent 2 weeks in an "advanced kindergym" class before she was asked to move up to their TAG team. She is currently working part TOPS and part level 3/4. She is having so much fun and would be in the gym every day if she could.
She shows a lot of potential and is the youngest (by 1yr) kid in her class. I'm really looking forward to seeing where she will go with this, while TRYING desperately not to be THAT mom. It's hard, because as someone who was SO involved in the sport for so long it's very exciting to see your child move forward so quickly and with so much potential.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to being a part of this forum!
