hello everybody..ive been lurking for a while && have finally decided to post. I am the super proud mommy of a 7 year old second generation gymmie! DD started gymnastics only 3 months ago && has progressed (i think) pretty quickly.. after 2 and a half months of 1hr/1day a week classes she learned every skill for level 4 (well..level 3 now lol)..the first week of december our gym held team tryouts && DD made it! yaaaay! (so proud!) welp..now to the point of my story :) ..while in rec classes DD was very good about keeping a tight body, pointing toes, pretty finishes, etc. Buuuut, now her first week of working out with the "real life team girls" (<--DD's words :) ) ..all that *pretty* has flown out the window! ..Legs apart, knees bent, just basically loosey goosey! She swears she isn't nervous (im not convinced) && she knows how important these things are in gymnastics..so what gives?? has this happened to any of your kiddos?

if im posting this in the wrong place, im sorry!! still figuring out the posting business!
:) :) so excited to be a part of chalk bucket! (Officially now!)

hmm...i used a ton of parentheses! ((()))) :):)

Welcome and congratulations to your dd (and you). This is a wonderful sport and here's my advice. She is 7, she is L3 and you know what I say about a marathon. If you can Just relax, enjoy watching your dd, stop thinking about every meet and every event and scores and placements, and trust he coaches to take care of these (and future problems), both of you will have a great experience in gymnastics. Good luck.

It's likely the awe of being on team and having so many other point to think about/remember. Don't worry about it. It will work itself out in time. If she was able to before, she will again.
