I'm new to optionals this year and have two dd going from L5 to L7. I've been reading as a guest for a while now and look forward asking some questions. Looks like there is a wealth of knowledge and experience here!

welcome to the world of optional gymnastics! my dd is doing her first full year at L7 after a mixed L6/L7 year last year. Fasten your seatbelt and hold onto your wallet. Oh, don't even bother trying to figure out the start value/scoring thing in optionals - it will make your head hurt.
