I was curious about the ages for the hopes meets. I see that it is 10-11 and 12-13. But what are the age cutoffs? Like the birthday? If someone is turning 13 in say March, are they eligible that whole year b/c they were 12 on Jan 1st, is that where 12-13 comes from ? Or the day they turn 13 are they too old?? I can't find anything about where the age line is. I know for TOPS it is your age that year you turn. So this year if you turn 10 in March you are 10 all year for TOPS. If you turn 10 in Nov and are 9 for testing, you till test as a 10 year old b/c it's your age Dec.31st. Is that how HOPES is?

Thanks!

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
