WAG How can i become more consistent on BB?

Hi everyone,

Beam is my best event, but I'm still not very consistent. When I hit my routine I usually end up as the top beam score, but last meet I fell twice. I got qualified in first place for event finals in may and I really want to be able to compete my best routine there. Does anyone have any tips to improve and become more consistent?
 
Assuming you can do all the skills well… just more routine numbers in different ways. Pressure sets and such. I have to say that low numbers seem to work fine on some events… beam does not seem to be one of those events.
 
The optionals coach I worked for for awhile would randomly get the attention of the entire gym to help build the pressure. She'd say something like "hey everyone, Susie is going to hit her beam routine right now, come watch". It was a very small gym but everyone from preteam all the way up would pause and watch.

We used to do "routine on every beam" where we'd rotate through all the beams and whoever hit the most routines won.
