Parents How do you celebrate after meets

We like to go out to eat after the meet.

Well, last season DD competed L2. Which had some crazy meet times. Normaly fridays..around 5 or 6 pm. And if you had to drive any distance (only our host meet was under 2 1/2 hours away) your not getting home till LATE. I mean the meet is not getting out till 9-10pm. It's hard to REALLY feed them before (like a dinner kinda feed them) because you dont want them out there with a lead stomach. And most of these kids were itty bitties. So by 9-10 the were STARVING. So..we always went out to eat right afterwards. We would let Kadee pick where she wanted to go and that's where we went. The outcome of the meet had no bearing on where we ate..it was always her choice. Im hoping with her competing L4 this year that she will have a Sat or Sun meet time for her meets. (last year the L4s met on sat or sun) for two reasons...So I dont have to pull her out of school early to get her to a meet on time. And So maybe we have a little more wiggle room after a meet. We shall see. But for us..def out for grub..lol
