Parents How to heal a rip?

DD got a rip about the size of a chickpea. It is red and open. THe skin "flap" is torn off completly. How do I heal this for her? This is the biggest one she as ever gotten.

Basically at the stage her rip is at, I would wash it, put on polysporin and a bandaid until the new skin forms.
