New DD got to pratice jumps on the comp beam. First time doing them, and all I heard from her is "I DID IT!!! I DID IT!!! COACH I DID IT!!!" Loud enough for everyone to hear of course. Yes its a level 1 jump but nothing better than the big smile she had. I dont think shes gonna quit gym anytime soon.

It doesn't matter what the skill, your DD is learning one of the true skills of gymnastics. Work hard and you will be rewarded.

Could also throw in there face your fears and move forward.

As long as shes excited I dont what skill she does. Jump, cartwheel, hand stand. Its all new for her so thats enough.
