Women I need some help for a gymnastics costume

Hey, so basically my brother has a girlfriend who is a gymnast and he has a costume party coming up and he want to surprise her by wear a competition uniform as his costume like to be funny and make her laugh, so he asked my to help come up with what to wear but I haven’t got a clue about gymnastics so I though you people would be able to help,

well, if he's super brave, he can wear a women's leotard! Otherwise, the men seem to wear tanks and shorts or pants. He could add some wristbands and fake grips. And a few medals perhaps!

Do you think that a guy could like fit into a leotard made for a girl, also what else would do the girls normally wear to a competition because he wants to dress up exactly like she does for her competitions hahaha
