I'm a new member to this forum. I've been a gymnast since 1974. During recess one day a couple of girls ran out to the field and did what looked like a million back handsprings. I was amazed and hooked. I started gymnastics the next day and never regretted it. Gymnastics is the most amazing sport. I put up with a lot of bullying in grade school and HS. But I stood tall and proud because our gymnastics team were state champions all four years. Our football team could barely win a game! Besides we all know gymnasts are REAL athletes unlike football players.
My gymnastics has improved over the years and now at 43 I mostly tumble and vault. My favorite pass would be tuck doubles on floor and handspring fronts on vault. I've had a few injuries but I'm never letting them hold me back! I can still do tuck doubles but prefer to do them into the pit and will only land fulls on floor.
