Illusion on beam?

Not sure If this is in the right place but I have a few questions about an illusion full on beam. First, If you are to step in front with the leg in the air, does the skill count as a half or a full? Also, are you allowed to touch the beam with one hand if you don't put support on it? Any answers would be appreciated!
