Lvl 9 gymnast missed two practices so far (others have missed more), and despite doing pretty well in practice, coach says she cannot post on her YouTUbe channel subscribers (100,000+) until competition season, because she want her to be focused on gymnastics. This seems unfair. She posts competition videos, tutorials, and also sillier videos where she teaches gymnastics to her friends.

If it's happening at the gym, the coach can set whatever rules he/she likes. If it's happening outside the gym, it's outside the coaches' jurisdiction.

But that's an opinion, not a codified rule. And if the videos are being filmed at the gym or are otherwise directly connected to the team, then there's an argument to be made that the coach should have at least somewhat of a say in whether they get posted.

Is she making content at the gym while at practice? I can see where that would pose a problem, I am unsure as to why missing practice would have anything to do with whether or not she posts to her Youtube acct.
If she is creating her own content outside of the gym then post away they can't tell you what to do outside of the gym... If she is constantly using the gym and gym time for content they can say no recording...
