One of my gymnasts wants to learn a kasamatsu vault. She has had tsuk and tsuk pike for years and wants to add some difficulty.

I have never coached this skill before so my understanding of the skill is based on watching Youtube videos. We have done all the drills that I have found and she does them very well. Today she tried twisting to the pit.

Here is a video:

She tries to twist but can't quite yet get all the way around. Any tips to make the twist more efficient? What about the timing? What are the verbal cues that you use to make your gymnast understand the skill better?

Thanks for help!

Work side flip for a few months with elbows above ears. Stay completely sideways (your vid didn’t work so I am assuming you have a lose foam pit for the side flip

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
