I am having a hard time with my kip cast handstand. I can make it up no problem but I fall over quite a bit. I have had this skill consistently for about 2 months. (I’m not scared of falling or scared of the high bar or skill itself) How do I fix this and still get to handstand without falling over? I am fine if I stop myself before and I still have enough power in my giants but then I get a deduction for not hitting handstand. Any help, tips or drills suggestions appreciated.
 
When I was learning cast handstands, a tip I got was if you were falling over forward, shift more of the weight towards your palms more than your fingertips.

I don't know how old you are, but sudden loss of a formerly-consistent cast handstand makes me think growth spurt. Or recent shoulder or lower back injury.

At any rate, if you used to have it consistently, but now tend to go over the bar, most likely you are not extending your body fast enough, leading to your shoulders getting stuck in front of the bar for too long. You most likely need more strength in your shoulders and possibly lower back and/or glutes.

How's your press handstand? Working a lot of press handstands will likely help build the strength that will help you get a quicker extension. If you already have a strong press handstand, trying to go up faster and still control the handstand might be a worthwhile exercise. If you don't already have a strong press handstand, that's what I'd focus on.

I have not had my cast handstand for that long. I will work on my press handstand. I haven’t used it since I was younger and we don’t practice them so I’m not sure I still have it. Thank you for the advice!

Working press handstands should help with both the strength and the balance. Doesn't have to be fully from support on flat ground; doing it from a straddle stand or a drag would be fine as well
