These girls are likely to make more from the post-olympic tour (especially if they win gold as a team...) then their college scholarships would be worth. I guess it comes down to if they really want the experience of competing on an NCAA team or not. I didn't get from Jordyn's interview that she wishes she HADN'T gone professional. Instead what I got from the interview is that she wishes gymnasts had the opportunity to earn money AND be able to compete in NCAA as their peak performance and peak time to earn money is likely before their NCAA careers due to the nature of the sport.
 
It's a shame. A snowboarder from a Winter Olympics had to give up being an NCAA kicker for accepting sponsor money for boarding. Swimmers also can't accept prize money from pro series races ( a significant amount for some) because of NCAA.
