I’ve read so many posts from parents about their daughters retiring from gymnastics over the years and moving on always seemed so clear from the outside, but here I am questioning things. DD was all in for so many years and was trying for college gymnastics right up to the start of the school year. She realized that none of the D2/3 schools were going to be a good fit for her and gave up that pursuit. Great- no problem as it opens until many other college options. But now she’s so checked out mentally and even hurts. All of the nagging injuries that she used to push through just weigh her down now. Do I encounter her to finishing up l10 no matter what or let her walk away this late in the game??
