I always remember being surprised when I noticed that there were regional accents in foreign countries. It was when I went to Uni in the North of France and everyone had hysterics as I spoke French with a broad Toulouse accent - up until that point French had been French to me !

I do RP with a westcountry intonation friends always accused me locally of talking "posh" and most people put me as South East - I blame my parents who were Welsh !

My parents are Welsh too (but don't have Welsh accents), I lived all over the UK, then spent 6 years in the USA. Parents had a house in the South of France so I speak French with l'accent du soleil, and who knows what my English accent is now. My kids speak English with a French accent and French with a southern accent - all in all we're a linguistic melting pot here!

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
