ok so i am a gymnast who struggles with back tumbling but i have to have a back pass for the season to compete level seven. has anyone else gone through this or is it just me. what are some slower back tumbling passes that i could compete
Every gymnast goes through this at different levels. I was an elite gymnast growing up, they didn’t call it that then though lol. Now I coach all levels, including my own kid. She also struggles with doing back passes. She is currently a level 8 and prefers front tumbling over back. The easiest pass I can think of that would hit your requirements for the season would be a RBHS layout step out or full. I hope that helps!

You actually don’t need any back tumbling passes. You could do all front tumbling if you wanted.
Technically, you do need a back salto or have with a 9.5 SV.
The L7 Requirement is:
2 Acro passes
- 1 with Salto backward, min. 2 directly connected flight elements
- 1 with Salto forward (add’l elements allowed)
- 1 Salto (forward or backward) must be stretched (no twist) & land on 2 feet

A RO-BT would be a fairly easy one. (with Salto bkwd, min. 2 connected flight)
Then, your other pass could be FHS-FLO. (Salto fwd, stretched, land on 2 feet)
