Level 8 Beam - Dance Series

My DD was doing Split Jump(180) / Wolf Jump for her Level 8 beam dance series and just recently the coached changed it to - Straight Jump / Split Jump(180). I am not an expert but is a Straight Jump at Level 8 okay. It seems kind of simple. Is it even in the code of points? Does it fill the requirement? Any opinions on a straight jump as part of Level 8 beam dance series would be appreciated.

A straight jump is an A skill right now, as is a wolf jump.

It's worth the same as a wolf jump, just has significantly less opportunities for deductions. Smart coaching.

a straight jump is the same as a straight jump but the coach was smart because now she has less of a chance of getting some deduction.

last i heard, the straight jump is OUT of the code of points and is actually a deduction, but i bet her coach knows what he/she is doing.
