Coaches Looking into buying new uneven bars- recommendations?

Our club is looking at getting new uneven bars. I would like the bar rails to be smooth- as the majority of our kids don't use hand guards.

A club I know has the Gymnova bars and the rails are very rough. Are all their rails like that?
What are the J&F ones like?

Are there any other pros or cons between these two brands?

Our club has three sets of gymnova bars and none of the rails are rough. Very few girls wear grips. We have also had Speith Anderson bars and they were good quality as well.

JF and Speith are not rough...not sure about Gymnova.

Our gymnova rails are very smooth, especially the ones used by the 'non grip' gymnasts.

no such thing as "rough bars". possibly you're confusing the integrity of the bar with that of chalk.

or that the rails began to pit, degrade and delaminate due to humidity or maybe they were laying in water and such.
