My DD hurt her wrist two weeks ago. It's not swollen, doesn't hurt during the day and is fine when taped, but it's still sore. I'm guessing the GP isn't the place to go. What kind of doc should I find? Ortho? Chiro? Something else that is sports specific that I don't know about? Thanks!

well, first make sure your insurance doesnt require a referral to a specialist and then id recommend an ortho. good luck!

Thanks. I know we can go straight to specialists. Would I want a sports ortho or a pediatric ortho?

Sports hand specialist. Pediatrician, no.......pediatric orthopedic, maybe......

Hand/wrist ortho will be best. If not available, then a sports ortho. If not that, then a pediatric ortho.
