This was our second meet but our first placement meet. My DD did not do well at her achievement meet and ended up in division 7 and was the only girl on her team not to medal. She was sad but decided she needed to work hard and improve. I am proud of her for all the hard work and it paid off this meet.

She was 1st on bars, 2nd on beam and 3rd all around. She scored a 9.25 on vault and got 4th. Her vault score at her first meet was in the 7's. She was also moved up to division 4. I am a little worried over the big jump but she tells me that it just means she will need to work hard, so I have a feeling she is going to surprise me :) I am proud of her medals, but even more proud that what she took from the 1st meet was not bitterness over not placing but rather that she needed to work harder. 2 week break and then she will compete L2 D4!

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
