Omg, so true. The first 3 meets of last season, I resigned myself to believe that DD will never learn the mill circle and it was ok because she wouldn't need it in the future. By the grace of God she got it some how and even medaled at states for bars! So over the mill circle.

That's why AAU Level 3 is great--no mill circle. They squat on and jump to high bar, do counterswing, tap swing, counterswing, straight drop. Makes so much more sense. Level 2 does a squat on to pike stand, toe on dismount. Again, much better.

So glad the days of a mill circle are long gone for DD. I would like to think it had some purpose with a future skill or progression, but I have never known what that might be.

Hahaha this is so true. This skill was the death of my daughter! I'm so glad to be done watching it.
