My 8 year old daughter trains 6.5hrs a week at her current club. She’s in their highest squad. However they only compete at local recreational competitions. 3 per year my daughter this year came 3rd,2nd and 1st respectively. They dont follow BG pathway and She now feels there’s nothing to aim for. She loves the competitions.
She has been offered a place at a new club who do follow the BG pathway and grades I’m just really torn. The new club is a not for profit organisation and the current club seems to be all about money and have so many gymnasts in at Abu one time it’s getting very crowded.

My concern is I’m jumping too soon but my 8 year old daughter loves her current club but actually wants to move which says it all.

Help!!!

If your daughter wants to compete grades and she is being offered the chance at another club now is a very good time to move. If you leave it too much longer she will find it hard to be offered a place for grades competitions due to her age.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
