The Top 100 is pointless, but my daughter wanted to see if her teammate (who was putting up HUGE numbers all season) would be on there, especially after the girl scored a 9.9 on bars. I had to tell her, "Sorry, sweetie, you don't get listed there until Level 4." I guess it's not a big deal, but it's fun for the gymnasts. My daughter was disappointed like Level 3 "doesn't really count". I get why SamIam said it (and in some ways agree myself) but it's a bit of a bummer for a Levell 3 gymnast, who I am certain would argue strongly that it does count.

I'd love to see a site with analyticals that track score improvement within a competitive season, too. That would be fun to see.

SamIAm definitely meant no offense. The fact of the matter is that Level 3 really does not count at all. In fact, most gyms do not even compete level 3. Some in my area don't even compete level 4. My own personal feeling is that competitions held for level 3 iare really more to please parents than anything else. I don't even want to hear about how level 3 prepares them for. Competition. That's really what level 4 is ( or was) supposed to do.

But back to the OP, my dd is missing half of her scores from her years in the sport. When I really cared about it, I actually did submit the link to her scores via the state meet links. Several times! But it was never updated. And then all the misspelling of her last name! Whew!!! It's not really worth it Or all that important.

Maybe this belongs in the VENT section, but I'm so annoyed with mymeetscores and meetscoresonline. They don't have entirely accurate information (meets missing, sessions missing, etc.) and they have way too much information that can be used to track the children. It's the posting of age groups, location of gym, and names that bother me.

If you weren't going to include the name of the gymnast and the age groups, there wouldn't be much point to posting "mymeetscores" or "meetscores online"...I can't see that the website would put "20 gymnasts from X gym scored Y"...the sites would be pointless...

I look at mymeetscores.com with a grain of salt. Half of my dd's meets aren't even up there. As for top 100s, it does give you a sckewed baseline of what scores are being achieved out there. Some areas definitely score higher than others, so as long as you know that you at least you get an idea of what's out there. I think this especially helps the higher levels that go to Regionals and Nationals.
