National Gymnastics Day

Hey Everyone, My gym is planning a big event for National Gymnastics Day in September and I am wondering if anyone has some suggestions to make it a really fun day and to raise money. A portion of the money raised goes to the Children's Miracle Network. What thing have you done that work really well to raise money? How was the turn out? I would like for other people in the community to be aware and want to come, not only people from the gym. Any suggestions will be appreciated

i remember one year my gym did a cartwheel-a-thon. i cant really remember how it worked, but i think you got people to agree to give you "x" amount of money for every cartwheel you did in an hour. and then whoever had the most at the end got like a prize basket or something. anyways it was a lot of fun for the gymnasts.
