NCAA NCAA Eliminates National Letter of Intent Immediately

Any 2025s out there that are waiting to sign what was an NLI? Elimination of NLI This obviously just happened, but signing day is coming in a month. Sounds like we might not be getting those signing in Nov. Or maybe we will? Who knows? I suspect its not going to happen till January sometime since schools are going to have to figure out what that contract is going to look like for financial aid and rolling in some type of revenue sharing verbiage.

NCAA changes are happening rapidly now that the settlement has received preliminary approval, the next 6-12 months are going to really shift the landscape, all based on football of course.

I would think they could still have a signing day celebration. Doesn't matter if they actually sign an NLI or something different.

No doubt, I just wonder if colleges will be ready to send these new "contracts" in a month when the traditional signing day happens or if they will delay a bit to work out legal language. It also makes me wonder about girls that are currently on NLIs, will they also have to sign new contracts? Probably ultimately a non-event but still more changes.
