Hello and Welcome! I'm sure you'll find lots of kindred souls on CB.

hi all,

I have a DD that is a new level 5. She turned 7 in December. She lives and breathes gymnastics. I also have a 16 year old son, 13 year old daughter and 11 year old son. She has lots of fans to cheer her on.:o

Have a great day,

Shari

Hi & Welcome Shari

My dd (audrey) is also a 7 yr old (turned today) L5, and our gym is in IL (northern). Maybe we have some meets in common :D Nice to "meet" you.

Nic

Hi Shari!

Welcome to the CB! You will have a great time here. Lots of advice to go around!:) We also have a lot of "cheerleaders" in the family. I have an 8 year old son Matthew who is a level 5. A 6 year old DD Alexis who is a level 4. Kayla is 4 and on a pre-team, and Olivia who is 1 and attends a mommy and me class.:)

Welcome to the Chalk Bucket! I am sure you will love it here!

Did you Daughter compete L4 Last year or will this be her first year competing?

Hi! Nice to meet you. We are in Southern Illinois. Really right next to St. Louis. I think the furthest north we go is the St. Jude meet in Peoria and one in the Normal area. Is your daughter picking up the much longer level 5 floor routine? Mine is having troubles with all the directional changes!!!
Thanks for the welcome!

Really great gyms in your area! Our coaches did not do L4 last year so A was an honorary L5 - she was too young to compete, and very excited about competing this season :D. She will do a few L5 and then onto L6 to end the season or just score out of L6, and finish the season as a L5 - not sure just yet.

Our team did St jude last year, and we went to cheer the team on. This was one of our very favorite meets. We are not doing that one this year, but we do a couple of IL meets, & also travel to Indy & OH.

Good luck to your Emma this season.:)

Hi Emma's mom, She did great as a level 4(coming in 3rd at states)! I'm sure she'll get that level 5 routine down:) When is her 1st meet? My DD is doing level 7 this year. But when she did level 5, she would run up to the vault & stop cold. Refused to go over. Guess what...by states that year she was Vault & AA state champ! Just sayin'...don't worry too much...I bet she'll not only get it down...but get it down beautifully:D

Wow, how old is your daughter? We did St. Jude last year too. We are going again this year. We also go to Indy! Good luck to your daughter! Emma has the beam routinte down but is working on remembering all the directional changes on her floor routine. It is tough! She has all her skills, now she just needs to pretty it all up!

Thanks! She did very well and we were suprised she loved it as much as she did. I thought she would be too shy. Go figure. Her first meet is the end of October. Congrats on your daughters Vault and AA in State. That is great. Emma seems to fit into always the bridesmaid neve the bride!:D She took first on the bars once but is usually second or third on everything. She "seems" to have a handle on the vault....we'll see. I know what you mean though because we have a little girl who did level 5 last year that will not vault without a spot. Thanks again!

Welcome to you and Emma! We too attend the St Jude meet. The kids and parents love it!! :o
