I am relocating for work reasons and my job is flexible as to whether I move to Northern VA (McLean) or Raleigh, NC. Clearly there are many considerations to decide which state I should move to. One of the considerations is the gym my daughter would go to. I don’t know much about either area from a gymnastics perspective . I have looked at gyms but if I can get more information from someone who is closer to the area, or things I need to know, recommended gyms etc , that would be really helpful. My daughter is 14 years old and is a level 9. Thanks so much

I would look at Capital Gymnastics in Burke Virginia. They are fantastic.

I'm in the Raleigh area. You can send me a DM and I'd be happy to answer any questions.

Oops, just realized I replied anonymously before. lol. Anyway, send me a DM if you have any questions about the Raleigh area.

i would recommend looking into virginia because i believe the gyms in the raleigh are full (context; my friend was trying to move gyms and both raleigh & charlotte gyms were all full)

Really? I haven't heard that. We have a pretty good number of gyms in the Raleigh area, and even more in the Charlotte area. Although our gym does have a pretty large team already, especially at the the 9/10 levels so maybe they might be saying they are "full". But there are a few others around that don't seem to have particularly large teams and I can't see turning a level 9 away. Who knows though..

I grew up in Raleigh; I'm happy to give my thoughts and answer any questions, with the disclaimer that my knowledge of the landscape there is about 12 years out of date

Thank you both for the response. Can I ask which gyms do you recommend in the Raleigh versus Charlotte area ?

Thanks so much! I’m trying to send a DM but it isn’t letting me. It mentioned I can only send messages to staff members. Any idea how to get around this :) it’s my first time posting on this forum. Thank you
