Great read. I love some of the creativity to help keep MAG alive. MAG cannot sustain any more program losses.

It’s very optimistic, especially when large revenue sports like football and basketball can not produce the income needed to subsidize non revenue generating sports like MAG.
Hopefully it would lead college sports back to a model where athletics and academics are intertwined, rather than football being a professional sport in college form... but my family is from the south, so I have a hard envisioning that fan base changing.
Unlike team sports, gymnastics has the capability to do virtual competition, which would encourage programs to continue or possibly expand club teams back to ncaa teams.

I think some optimism is ok. OPtimism that we can come up with ways to make it work. Hope for the kids to keep training and have a future. Lots of creativity and outside the box thinking can help. We just need to remain cautiously optimistic for them to continue to want to work on it!
