Eh, 11:30 report time? No way I'd book a hotel for that. Even to leave yourself a really good cushion, you'd be leaving no earlier than she usually leaves for school.

But I am something of a cheapskate.

Last year our state meet was about 30 minutes from the city hosting the suite 16. The was not a room to be had. We had a 1130 start and left home at 6, had brunch when we got there and off he went. It is also a 3 hour drive. It really beat trying to kill time from 7 to 11 am after sleeping in a hotel.
