Osteochondritis Dissecans of the Elbow

Hi! My 12 year old is about 2 weeks post-op debridement for capitellum ocd. She had full mobility before surgery and currently is only 2 degrees off. Her surgeon believes she will regain full mobility again.

My question is has anyone on here dealt with this injury and surgery and been able to successfully return to gymnastics...without further injury or pain.

Someone who used to go to our gym had it at about the same age and made a complete recovery. We just needed to be careful with skill selection and train smart. Good luck to your daughter!
