Women Poor DD first major injury bad timing metacarpal fracture any experience??

She broke her 4th metacarpal shaft yesterday at gym. He was training level 7/8 getting ready for national tops testing now this. Anyone have any experience with this type of injury?

I am sorry to hear that.
My daughter (L9) is currently in a cast for breaks to her 2, 3, 4 and 5th metatarsal. She is in a cast from her finger tips to her elbow. She goes back to the Ortho on Friday and hopefully will get the cast off.

She broke the 2nd and 3rd in the same hand last fall. That time she was in a cast for 5 weeks. She came back quite quickly once it was off. I hope this time is the same.

Good luck to your DD and I hope she heals quickly.

she'll be good to go in 10 weeks provided she doesn't need a pin. tell her to double up the conditioning and work hard.
