All fair; this treatment seems extraordinarily unlikely to cause any harm whatsoever, even if it ends up being a placebo.I have no disagreements with any of the points raised and certainly people should consult with experts concerning this.
I look at this from a risk mitigation point of view .
If it is vestibular; this is an easy, low impact, targeted, non drug intervention that is easy to deploy and test in a training situation.
If it is psychological; this is an easy, low impact, targeted, non drug placebo that is easy to deploy and test in a training situation.
If it is caused by something else; then its caused by something else. It may infact be caused by a number of factors. But listening to a 100 hz tone for a couple minutes isn't much lost investment to find out what it isn't.
