Coaches Private lessons!

Hey Coaches,

How do private lessons work at your club? Booked through the office? Directly through coaches? How are you paid for them? Do you pay the club a use fee?

What do you love/hate about lessons?

At our club, you would first talk to their coach and then go from there. Normally the gym takes a percentage of the private cost as you are using their facilities etc. I think it's 20% at our gym.

I’m not a coach, but at our gym privates are booked through the coach, but billed through the gym with the gym taking 50% (which seems like a lot to me).

I'm lucky and our gym lets us schedule lessons directly with the parents - we set our rate and take the full amount with no cut to the gym. My last gym took ~30% and we'd have to submit a google form to request a day/time and equipment to be used, like "bars area" or "trampoline".
