Women Protocol for competing a kid that is sloppy? Or afraid?

Are the bars on the lowest settings available? Since it is only L4, as long as the low bar is high enough for them to still get a good kip, then go with the lowest bar setting (within specs) and see if that helps... and pit an 8 incher under the high bar.
If they can compete the routine safely (with a coach standing in for safety), then let them compete.

Our gym would/has competed some sloppy kids (mine included on more than one occasion!) but not unsafe. For L3, two kids "lost" their BHS and did RO-backwards roll (apparently got connection points, but no credit for BHS? no matter.) because it simply wasn't safe. If you really think it isn't safe, I wouldn't let them do it.

Can they do it with you standing in but not actually touching them? If so, can you do that at a meet to help with the fear?

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
