Hi everyone, I hope this doesn't qualify as seeking for medical advice so lmk. So basically yesterday I was doing my leap pass and all of a sudden my leg/butt area start to hurt really bad. I take it easy the rest of practice, mostly doing bars. I'm pretty sure I pulled a muscle and it still hurts pretty bad today. I have been icing it and resting all day. There is even some pain while walking. So my question is should I go see a doctor or just keep resting it at home? Or should I see some sort of another type of medical care? Thanks

You should see your primary care doctor; they will most likely either recommend rest and possibly some sort of meds, or they may refer you to a specialist.

If it's bad enough that you can't walk normally or do other typical day-to-day things, and you can't get an appointment with your doc soon, it might be worth going to urgent care.

If you have some sort of a hamstring injury... then you need to be careful doing bars. Kip casting can stretch this area aggressively and can injure it worse... or make it take longer to get better.

I would go see a doctor.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
