I have a recital really soon and we're doing all four events. How can I prepare for it, besides practice? I need to get over nervousness because when I last performed, I got really nervous and I sort of froze up and forgot the next thing. Ideas? Thanks =)

Ask your coaches if yall can have a mock meet. Like where you o to each event an do your routine and pretend like it't the real thing. Hope this helps!

Just remember that you know how to do this stuff, you've been doing it in practice a billion times. Your body knows what to do and you just have to stay focused. At my gym, we're supposed to have "key words" that we think of every time we do a big skill on beam, so we can think those words at a meet and we'll automatically do it the same way (hopefully). For example, I think "eyes on hands" for my front handspring because I know that if I do that, I'll almost always make it.
