MAG Regional Elite Team update

So it turns out DS is not going. I'm kind of bummed for him, but at the same time glad to not have to handle another unplanned fly away. It's the first time our region has sent a team, so I guess there wasn't really an established process for picking the team--or maybe there was and I don't know what it was. The regional director asked DS's coach who he would send and he said DS. Maybe they did come up with a list of nominations and whittled it down from there. It's cool though for him to know that his coach picked him. He's only a sophomore, so he has two more years.

That's too bad, but it's a nice consolation prize to know that the coach thought so highly of him.
