Coaches Requirements

Hello
Can I know the required skills to be a gymnastics coach?
For example: if somebody came to be a gymnast coach in your club, what skills does he need to have?

This is going to depend so much on your club, and where you live.

In my country, you need to co Pete a coaches course which means doing both an online course and attending a face to face training course, as well as apply for a police check to show you are safe to work with children.

In looking for coaches for my gym, we always train up our own senior gymnasts to become our next lot of coaches. In these people I look for CAKE - Commitment, Attitude, Knowledge (gymnastics related) and Effort. We teach them the rest.

So you give them training courses?
- I’m willing to be a coach while studying at the university, but I’m wondering if there a specific degree or skills I should have. Like you tale coaches based on what?
