I will give you another one. My daughter had a horrible couple of years during the covid years. She was a sophomore in high school when her L9 season got cut short and she was starting to train L10 once everyone got back in the gym. Her school was still closed and was doing online school. She then broke her ankle very badly and it took two years to recover. So not only was she taking on line classes, now she couldn't even do the one thing she loved. It was quiet frankly the worst years of her life. She dreamed of college and had not even competed L10. She took a gap year and got one year of L10 that was very shaky but she did it. She was very lucky to get on a small D3 team. So she is now in her second year at this school and is loving her team and she had her best year ever this year. D3 is perfect for her, she doesn't have all the years of L10 or elite training, but I am so happy that she reached her dream and she has figured out her major and will be traveling abroad this summer for a semester in Hong Kong and she is taking life by the horns. She gained a lot of confidence this year and I can't wait to watch her next year. I hope you can find the joy again.
